Holmes Fire District #1 is located in the rural Amish country of Holmes County, Ohio. The District provides Fire and EMS service to the Village of Millersburg, and Hardy, Mechanic, and Monroe Townships.

The Fire District currently has 7 full-time career, 30 part-time and 15 volunteer/paid-on-call personnel.

The Fire District bases its operation out of two stations, with Station 1 being staffed 24 hours a day:

  • Station #1 is located on State Route 39, just west of the Village of Millersburg.
  • Station #2 is located on State Rt. 83 in Mechanic Twp., near Lake Buckhorn.
