Minimum
Requirements for Membership
1. At least 18 years of age
2. High School Diploma or G.E.D.
3. Valid Ohio Drivers License
Special Characteristics Needed
1. Good moral character
2. Pleasant personality
3. Emotional Stability
4. Good health and physical condition
5. Clean and neat in appearance
6. Manual dexterity and physical coordination
7. Good study habits for intensive training courses
8. Ability to exercise common sense
Application
Process
1. Complete written application
2. Background check performed
3. Interview with Fire Chief
4. Interview with department officers
5. Acceptance as Probationary Member
6. Orientation session and equipment issue
7. Medical examination and immunization - (paid for by department)
8. Complete required training - (paid for by department)
9. Six month evaluation
10. Voted on by the active membership at the end of the six months
